Southeast Asia Shipping is a corporation organized under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. It was established on July 29, 1982 and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission principally to operate as a crewing/manning agent. It was issued a recruitment license by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
The company commenced recruitment activities by supplying seafarers to Japanese ship owners on their general cargo vessels in the Far East route. From its modest beginning, the company expanded its network of satisfied clients and in 1985, it was appointed the exclusive manning agent of a Saudi-British company which handled the off-shore and port operations at the King Fahad Industrial Ports of Dammam, Jubail and Rastanura in Saudi Arabia.
Subsequently it was contracted by German, Norwegian, Finnish, American and Hongkong ship owners to man their dry cargo vessels and tankers (CRUDE/ CHEMICALS – OBO – LCC – ULCC). The company has gained the necessary expertise in the selection and hiring of experienced and certified crew members in consonance with the IMO requirement on STCW (as amended 1995) the ISM code and ISPSC.
The company is staffed by dynamic and highly motivated shipping professionals which has evolved a management methodology aimed at TOTAL CLIENT SATISFACTION. All facets of work activities are defined and documented to attain the objectives at minimum time. Quality system is inculcated as a standard norm.
