DNR OFFSHORE & CREWING SERVICES, INC. was established during the times when local sea-based agencies are fiercely competing on a vast market of manning requirements for all types of international ocean-going vessels. For most key players in the industry, crewing oil and gas offshore platforms although offers higher salaries does not look lucrative enough. Unlike the maritime business wherein schools are abundant, finding qualified offshore crew members seems to be quite complicated, firstly, most of these people came from the skilled sectors and most often are not college graduates, lucky if you can find anybody with adequate technical skills and certified by international accepted standards, then there is the bigger problem which is acquiring the necessary working visa, since most of them will not be working on land, then the host country would have to designate an appropriate entry visa for them. Hence the worldwide problem of “Ageing Workforce” for the oil and gas industry came in. Undaunted by all these obstacles, then Founding Chairman and incumbent President, Engr. Nilfil L. Peralta, together with his trusted Board of Directors, with a handful of veteran offshore workers who have previous working experience from the middle east, Europe and Africa consisting of welders, pipe fitters, riggers and scaffolders began deploying Filipinos to the Gulf of Mexico. At the same time, Engr. Peralta commenced scouting for new recruits from Batangas, Cebu and Subic in Zambales while closely building a cordial business relationship with appropriate training facilities.
Today DNR OFFSHORE & CREWING SERVICES, INC. maintains a deployment rotation of various crew members exceeding 200 personnel at the Gulf of Mexico projects not including smaller projects in East Asia, Africa and Europe. The head office located at Units 2001-2010 Robinsons Equitable Tower, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City is manned by 28 highly competent officers and staff consisting of five departments, namely: Operations, Accounting, Marketing, HR and the Corporate Communication, and Executive. The company has its in-house Training facility presently managed by the Operations Dept. in close coordination with HR. DNR Offshore is accredited PDOS (Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar) provider by the government Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and is recently ISO 9001:2008 certified by Det Norske Veritas. |
