Job Description :
- The Helmsman must carry out the following work under the direction and supervision of the Chief Officer, the duty officer or the Bosun.
a) Keep watch at sea, steer and lookout.
b) Raise and lower flags and signals.
c) Turn on and turn off the deck illumination lights.
d) Keep in-port watch, gangway watch and cargo watch.
e) Clean the bridge, chart room, compass room and other places.
f) Other work as instructed by superiors.
g) Take the soundings of the tanks and the bilges in the holds and enter them on a board and in a notebook.
h) Carry out the work of taking on, transferring and discharging drinking water and ballast.
i) Cargo Watch and navigational watch.
j) Work at stern when entering and leaving harbor.
k) Sound tanks and bilges twice a day.
